Welcome to the Aurae Howl FAQ! Below are many questions we get with proper answers. Please feel free to ask additional questions below or under the 'Help & Issues' thread!
Question 1: What is Aurae Howl?
Answer: Aurae Howl is a wolf pack roleplaying group on the fabulous game called FeralHeart! We roleplay as realistic-looking wolves and have lots of fun.
Question 2: Is Aurae Howl realistic? What's classified as realistic?
Answer: Yes, Aurae Howl is a realistic roleplaying group. This term can mean different things- but for us, it means that your character must behave and look realistic! For example, your wolf can't have magical fire powers and be neon blue- because you can't find that in the real world! But your wolf can be gray, black, white, brown, and yellow and have natural looking markings!
Question 3: How good do I have to be at roleplaying to join?
Answer: We don't have a set bar of how good you have to be. However, you can't be some 'noob' either who can't capitalize sentences or their own name. If you can roleplay at a moderately good level, have good grammar, and follow all of the rules, you should be golden!
Question 4: What plot do you have?
Answer: We don't have a set 'plot'. We feel that they are very exclusive- especially to new players! Plots are very hard to jump straight into and many times, the players who've been a part of the pack forever do not accept newer members. We have mini subplots between certain characters and whatnot- but nothing major or official.
Question 5: Who are your rivals?
Answer: Again, we do not have any set 'rivals'. For starters, we roleplay on a public map, so we don't exactly have a rivaled pack living near us. Secondly, as a newer pack, we are not keen on fighting and having wolves die quickly. We hope in the future to possibly get a private map and/or rival ourselves, but currently, we don not have rivals.
Question 6: What about your map? What is it like?
Answer: We roleplay on a public map made by the amazing FabouCaribou on deviantART. It's very quiet and beautiful! It's a smaller map with 3 camps and scattered dens that we love very much. We may decide to move to a public map.
Question 6.5: I need help downloading the map!
Answer: Download instructions are available beneath the map download link. If you follow them word-for-word the map will work! If you need additional help, please look for map download tutorials.
Question 7: What rank should I be?
Answer: What you think best suits your wolf's personality. We have 'low' ranks that should fit every wolf's personality out there! Just pick what you think you should.
Question 8: How do I obtain a 'high' rank?
Answer: This question depends! But, the answer for every single rank is the same- you must WORK FOR IT! There is no application for the ranks and it isn't just handed to you! If you prove yourself worthy of that rank and make it known, you will more than likely get promoted. Begging will not get you anywhere.
Question 9: How can I become Aurae Howl staff?
Answer: Apply when the staff applications are open! Thye open every now and then, so apply when they are; you might get the position!
Question 10: Can I have a mate?
Answer: Of course! Mates are accepted and loved! Your wolf can have any mate of any and no gender. Please note that mating must be done away from camp and in whisper.
Question 11: I have suggestions for the plot/breeds/etc. What do I do?
Answer: Awesome! Post them under the suggestions board! All will be considered.
Question 12: My wolf has powers/My wolf is stronger than others. Can I join?
Answer: No. No wolf that is realistic can have powers or be super strong. No Mary/Gary Sues!
